To be an Observer, a branch must meet three prerequisites:
- Must have a minimum of two members.
- Must have at least one member who is an EECS student.
- A university with an EECS department has to be in the same urban area.
They have the following rights:
- Its members can participate in EESTEC events.
- Its members cannot apply for Bodies of the Association except for the EESTEC Alumni.
- Does not have the right to vote.
They have the following obligations:
- Has to abide by the Statutes of EESTEC.
- Its members have to register on the EESTEC platform.
- Must report about its activities related to EESTEC to the VC-AA at least once every six months. This six-month period starts on the day that Spring Congress has ended.
- The last status report of the Association year is called the Full Year Status Report and must be sent to the Board at least three weeks before the first day of the Spring Congress.
- May not miss three or more consecutive General Assemblies.
To be a JLC, a branch must meet these prerequisites:
- The obligations and prerequisites of the previous level of a branch are fulfilled.
- Must be registered, be part of a registered association or otherwise legally recognized as an entity in the country where it is based.
- Must have submitted a written application for the JLC status to the Board of the Association (BoA).
- Must have a board of a minimum of three members: Chairperson, Treasurer and Contact Person (CP).
Rights:
- Has all the rights of the previous level of branch.
- May bear the name EESTEC JLC and use the EESTEC logo in public in line with the purpose as stated in the Statutes, Article 2, and the Brand Policy Paper.
Obligations:
- Has to abide by the Statutes of EESTEC.
- Must have a board of a minimum of three members: Chairperson, Treasurer and Contact Person (CP).
- Its members have to register on the EESTEC platform.
- May remain an EESTEC JLC for a maximum time of two years after which its status has to be redefined by the Board.
- Must present results of its activities and future plans to the GA once every Association year.
- Must send a status report to the VC-AA at least every six months. This six-month period starts on the day Spring Congress has ended.
- Must inform the VC-AA within ten days after its board members or registration address changes. Must inform the VC-AA about its current board members at least every 15 months.
- The last status report of the Association year is called the Full Year Status Report and must be sent to the Board at least three weeks before the first day of the Spring Congress.
- May not miss two or more consecutive General Assemblies.
EESTEC Local Committees are the Members of the Association.
Prerequisites:
- The obligations and prerequisites of the previous level of a branch are fulfilled.
- Has organised an event according to the standards defined in the RoP section 7.3.1.
- Must have submitted a formal application to all Members in written form at least two weeks before the first day of the Congress. The application has to be presented to and approved by the GA during the first two days of the respective Congress.
- The percentage of students who are part of a JLC and are non-EECS students must not exceed 25%.
Rights:
- Has all the rights of the previous level of branch.
- Has the right to vote in the GA as defined in the Statutes.
- Its members have the right to apply for positions in Bodies of the Association. They have to submit their application to the GA.
- Has all the legal member rights in accordance with the Swiss law.
Obligations:
- Has to abide by the Statutes of EESTEC.
- Must have a board of a minimum of three members: Chairperson, Treasurer and Contact Person (CP).
- Its members have to register on the EESTEC platform.
- Must send a status report to the VC-AA at least every six months. This six month period starts on the day Spring Congress has ended.
- Must inform the VC-AA within ten days after its board members or registration address changes. Must inform the VC-AA about its current board members at least every 15 months.
- The last status report of the Association year is called the Full Year Status Report and must be sent to the Board at least three weeks before the first day of the Spring Congress.
- Must fulfill its responsibilities associated with organising a valid Workshop, Exchange, Exclusive Workshop, Operational Event, Congress, Advanced Skills Workshop, Soft Skills Workshop, Project Event or Live Board Meeting every 24 months.
- Must fulfill its responsibilities associated with organising a valid Workshop, Operational Event, Advanced Skills Workshop, Exclusive Workshop or a Congress every 48 months.
- May not miss two or more consecutive General Assemblies.
